WebVisions 2009

by admin on March 30, 2009

I am on my fourth year volunteering and second year board member with WebVisions, a conference held in May at the Portland Convention Center.

This year I have had the chance to be more involved as a WebVisions board member in helping out with promotions. I given the amazing chance to attend SXSW as a WebVisions representative. I attended both the interactive side and volunteered and enjoyed the music side as well.

Pictures from my SXSW trip will be posted soon.

While I was at SXSW, I was able to interview past and present speakers for WebVisions on the @WV09 twitter account. Including with Jared Spool, Jeffrey Zeldman, Mollydotcom and Christopher Schmit. More to come soon. An updated list will be posted as well.

This year’s WebVisions is going to be bigger and even more exciting than ever. It is 3 days instead of two, with well over 50 speakers and 3 keynotes. Plus we have tied in smaller groups to join in as well, such as Lunch 2.0, Beer and Blog and AIGA.

I am very excited for this year and will be updating my blog on new information and also tune into @WV09 and @webvisions. For more information on WebVisions, check out www.webvisionsevent.com

Thanks,
Stephanie

I enjoy learning new things on the web, especially with social media and how to interact with others both in-person or web social networking.  I am currently at a first year Business Leaders Nothwest at the Oregon Convention Center.  Alex Williams of @podcasthotel had help set up a blog pavilion to help others learn about social media sites on the web and blogging and answer their questions about new technology and applications.
